It's hard to believe it's almost half-term already...make the most of the time together and make memories in Yorkshire. Explore ancient castles, scale dizzying heights to cryptic abbeys or race through sweeping countryside and far-stretching forests by bike. There's fun for all the family right this way...

Jorvik Viking Festival - Jorvik, York

The annual Jorvik Viking Festival is a fantastic city-wide celebration where each year this historic city turns back the clock to the Viking invasion in AD 866 and celebrates its Norse heritage. It's a great event for all the family and includes live combat performances, walks and talks. This year's event will be held between 12th and 18th February.

Castle Quest - Scarborough Castle, Scarborough

16th February to 3rd March. Celebrating the release of the new film The Kid Who Would Be King, explore the castle to find the answers to the quiz questions and help Merlin, Alex and his Knights save Scarborough Castle from a medieval villain.

Meet the Alpacas - Minskip Farm Shop, York

15th February - 3rd March, make amazing memories this half-term with a unique Alpaca experience! This is an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with the alpacas where you'll get to meet two mums and their babies, stroke their soft fur, feed them and learn about their job on the farm.
