Situated at the foot of The Yorkshire Wolds this cottage is perfect for families and friends to get together. Fangfoss is a pretty Yorkshire village with a pub, children's playground, pottery and famous rocking horse shop. Conveniently located between York and the Coast guests could spend days exploring attractions such as the York Dungeon, Jorvik Viking centre or National Railway museum or spend a day at the beach at Robin Hoods Bay or Whitby.

Entering into this gorgeous property, lovingly converted by the owners, you will find the spacious, bespoke kitchen/ dining/living area - perfect for socialising! The fully equipped kitchen features electric range oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/ dryer, fridge and freezer. The large solid oak table can seat up to 12 guests and the cosy lounge area features leather sofas, an electric stove with flame effect and TV.  Leading off the kitchen is a king-size bedroom with a mid-west ranch feel, a sumptuous freestanding bath and a separate ensuite bathroom with saloon style doors crafted from reclaimed 300 year old gate posts. Up the fabulous hand crafted staircase to another luxurious king-size with freestanding bath to indulge in some serious 'me time'. Along the corridor is the third twin bedroom which can also be made up as super-king on request. In the corner of this room is a shower room and separate w/c.

Heading outside there is a small courtyard with patio furniture and the small children's playground is 2 minutes down the lane. There is an on site shared games room in an inside barn area complete with 7' pool/snooker table, air hockey, football table and full size table tennis table.

Beautiful cottage couldnt fault it at all. Amazing original features, well equipped, comfortable, clean so lovely we didnt want to leave. A pic 2 minute walk away served lovely food, bus stop 2 mins from cottage 45mins into centre of York perfect for exploring. We are spreading booking again for next year

The cottage was lovely the beds were really comfortable and everywhere was spotless. I would highly recommend the Old Granary to anyone looking to book a holiday cottage.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. It had everything we needed. The hosts were quick to deal with queries and issues arising. Safe, gated grounds with allocated parking and a games room to use too. Great location for York and exploring the surrounding area. Peaceful and relaxing.

Potential to be a lovely property. Some maintenance issues the hosts have been made aware of. Quiet secure village location.

This is a lovely cottage with an open yet cosy feel to it. All the bedrooms were really well appointed with lots of quirky touches, in keeping with the charm of the building . We really enjoyed our stay
