This property enjoys a convenient location in the city of Ripon in North Yorkshire. Although designated a city, Ripons small size makes it delightfully accessible, with everything that the city has to offer being under less than a mile of the propertys front door. There is an excellent range of shops and eateries, in addition to which there are no less than three interesting museums. The city is perhaps best-known for its cathedral, an imposing structure the history of which dates back to the 7th century. Just outside the city, (under 4 miles) the atmospheric ruins of Fountains Abbey make for a wonderful day trip, whilst the Yorkshire Dales are just 21 miles away providing a spectacular backdrop for enjoying relaxing walks.

 

A communal staircase leads to the first floor of this converted chapel and to the front door of this duplex apartment. Once inside guests pass through a hallway where the washing machine is kept, which leads on to the stylish open-plan living area. This elegant room has a chic contemporary feel to it and has large floor-to-ceiling windows which flood the room with light. The lounge area is an attractive space which allows guests to enjoy simply spending time together, relaxing on the sofa and chairs and enjoying a film on the TV. The flame-effect electric fire gives the whole room a lovely cosy glow and ensures that the room is nice and warm during the colder months of the year. A dining table sits at one end of the room, behind which the kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. A double bedroom can be found on this level of the apartment, as can the travertine-tiled bathroom with its shower-over-bath and WC. A door in the hallway opens onto an open-tread spiral staircase which leads up to the stunning master bedroom suite. This wonderfully spacious room has a double bed and a beautiful sleigh-bed cot, alongside a futon sofa which can be used to accommodate an extra guest, on request, for an additional cost. This room benefits from a sleek and chic en-suite shower room boasting a double shower and WC.

 

To the side of the property there is a small communal garden area which guests have access to, whilst to the front of the property there is one designated parking space.

Very nice apartment in an excellent central location in Ripon. Both bedrooms were comfortable, although a king size bed upstairs might be nice. But not sure it will fit up the spiral staircase! Both bathrooms were comfortable, and it's an ideal stay for two couples. The lounge is bright and airy, with comfortable furniture. There is one parking spaRead morece outside. A fairly well equipped rental in a central location suitable for visiting the surrounding area and further afield. Two flights of stairs to apartment plus second bedroom is up one more spiral staircase. Not for the fainthearted. Beds and sitting area were comfortable.

We only booked the accommodation because it said there were no dogs allowed but on stepping through the door the smell of dogs was very apparent and the sign in the kitchen asking that dogs are kept off the furniture confirmed this. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay in Ripon. I can only recommend this place if you have a dog or don't mind the smeRead morell of other people's dogs. Hide

We had a fabulous break, the apartment was well equipped, very clean and comfortable and in a wonderful location. There is so much to do and see in and around ripon, we cant wait to return.
