Formerly a smuggling village, the historic Robin Hood’s Bay is now an eclectic tourist hot spot with plenty of eateries, shops, and a lovely little beach which is great for exploring rockpools and watching the sun set on the horizon. Head off on foot along the coastal paths including the stunning Cleveland Way National Trail. If you fancy exploring a little further, hop in the car to the historic town of Whitby (5.5 miles) and visit the museums or sandy shoreline.
