Unwind in this homely and characterful converted 200-year-old barn with stylish interiors, a vaulted wooden beamed ceiling and exposed stone walls. Spend quality time with your small family or group of friends plus one canine companion in the spacious open-plan living area, get competitive in the games room and explore the surrounding Yorkshire countryside, the historic town of York and the coast.

Make yourself at home in the spacious open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge with high ceilings, neutral-toned walls and warming accents of red and pink. The contemporary ‘L’-shaped kitchen is well-organised and sleek with plenty of surface space for preparing hearty home-cooked meals. Next to this is a wooden dining table with seating for six. Put your feet up on the sofa or sink into an armchair in the lounge area with two large glass patio doors which let in streams of natural light plus a wood burner. Completing the inside of the property is a bathroom plus two bedrooms – a king-size zip-and-link and a double. Outside is a garden with seating plus further gardens and a games room which are shared with neighbouring properties.

The cottage was excellent, the presentation is first class and the owners are welcoming and helpful. The bedrooms are really comfortable. Overall I would recommend the cottage as a wonderful place to stay and use as a base to use for exploring York, Beverley and the surrounding Yorkshire Wolds.
