The country-style kitchen with a dining table is just next door, along with a flight of stairs leading up to the sleeping quarters on the first floor. The cottage was lovely and cosy, with the addition of an open fire on cold evenings. A well equipped, comfortable place with great views of the village green. The rear garden having a good selection of outdoor furniture is a great little sun trap with the beck running at the bottom of the garden.

We had a lovely time in the cottage, which is beautifully furnished and has a very pretty garden, and is in a great location. We were also very touched by the thoughtful and generous welcome pack. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We had a lovely stay here; the cottage is beautifully decorated and really cosy- we had a lot of wet weather when we stayed over new year so it was nice to light the fire every evening. The garden is beautiful, with the beck running along the bottom; though mid winter isn't the best time to appreciate it! The welcome hamper was really good and thRead moreere were some lovely touches such as a bowl of biscuits for the dog. All in all a lovely place to stay, we would definitely come back! Hide

A wonderful week with lots of walks and dips in the stream for our dog. Lovely cottage with all we needed and in a great location. Visited Cayton Bay Beach, Pickering and steam train to Goathland. The Blacksmiths Arms in Lastingham is a fantastic pub for a special meal.
