Treat your small family and four-legged friend to a traditional seaside getaway filled with beach days, arcade games and seafood dinners in Whitby. In the evenings, snuggle up in the homely lounge by the wood burner effect gas fire or dine alfresco in the pretty cottage garden with sea views.

Climb 32 steps to reach the front door of the property and make yourself at home in the comfortable lounge with neutral tones, a soft rug beneath your feet and two plump sofas which sit on either side of the wood burner effect gas fire and SmartTV. Continue into the compact kitchen/diner with a farmhouse-style galley kitchen boasting a washing machine and thoughtfully placed ornaments. After cooking a special meal for your loved ones, dine together at the intimate table with seating for four. On the first and second floor is a family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a double and a twin. Outside is a patio with furniture.

During your stay in Whitby’s old town, you’ll be within 500 metres of the cobblestone-paved Church Street. Lovely cottage. Fantastic break. Really amazing location. Cosy and good value with lots of character. Our kids enjoyed the games on the book case and the TV with lots of channels. Great for exploring Whitby, the abbey and church, and trips to Robin Hoods Bay. Would recommend.

Great stay - lovely cosy cottage. Very quiet location but right in the centre of all the shops. Highly recommend the boat ride and Robin Hoods Bay.

Very well and thoughtfully equipped cottage. Lots of storage in bedrooms and bathroom. Great location: central and convenient for everything but also quiet.

Great place to be based in Whitby and a comfortable little cottage. The garden could do with some tending as it is rather overgrown now, compared with when we visited a few years ago. I'd suggest the front step could do with a paint as it rather spoils the first impression for visitors who haven't been before, and surely a second key for the frRead moreont door isn't too difficult to provide. Really lovely cottage and garden in a very quiet location but also very near shops and restaurants. All furnishings were excellent, well equipped kitchen and shower worked well. We had an issue with the lights and this was sorted very promptly the same day. We were also given parking vouchers which we used easily, although I imagine in peak season Read morethe spaces would be few. Our only comment is that the instructions for unloading in the yard made no reference to the very narrow tight access , our golf only just squeezed through. Hide
