Popular with bird watchers, some visitors have seen 60 different species of birds in this natural environment, including kingfishers along the river. The cottage belonged to the owner’s aunt and her diaries detailing her way of life and local wildlife remain in the cottage and are a fascinating read.

Original features are plentiful here, with cosy log fires, beamed ceilings, latched doors and antique furniture.
