Take your family or the other half to a holiday by the sea in the Gothic town of Whitby where you can relax on the beach, dine out at local seafood restaurants and visit the historical landmarks. Hunker down in this homely apartment with a laid-back feel boasting original artwork, a garden for dining alfresco and a sociable open-plan living space.

Harbour Rise is a ground floor apartment with 10 steps from the undercroft car park to the main entrance and lobby area. Step inside to find a bright lounge/diner with tranquil coastal colours, a large bay window and a selection of games to enjoy while sitting back on the plump sofas in front of the SmartTV. Cook a special meal for your guests in the neutral-toned kitchen with sparkling surface tops on the ‘U’-shaped fitted unit – which also benefits from a washing machine. There is also a family bathroom plus two bedrooms – a twin room and a king-size with a door to the patio. Outside is an enclosed garden with furniture.

During your stay in the heart of Whitby, you’ll be around 500 metres from the marina. Stroll along the River Esk and discover the waterside restaurants, quirky shops and cosy cafes within 0.5 miles. Spend an afternoon on the sandy Whitby Beach and play some games at the Whitby Pavilion (within 1 mile). Delve into the local history at the Captain Cook Memorial Museum or the Whitby Museum (0.5 miles). Prepare for a scare at the Dracula Experience and climb the 199 Steps to Whitby Abbey (1 mile).

Exceptionally clean and well equipped apartment within easy walking distance of bus stop, restaurants, pubs and shops. The decor is beautiful and homely and everything you could need is on hand. The on site parking is a real bonus. There was great communication from the owner and I wouldnt hesitate in recommending this apartment.

We have just had another lovely stay at this excellent property. It is comfortable, perfectly equipped and within five minutes walk from town. Jenny, the owner, could not be more helpful and accommodating. We would not hesitate to recommend Harbour Rise for a holiday in Whitby.

Second visit to this property and it was as good as the first. The property is second to none in terms of its quality, amenities and cleanliness. Communication from the owner is excellent and the addition of a thoughtful welcome pack and lovely homely touches just add to my admiration for Jenny and her property.

Harbour Rise is a fantastic place to stay in Whitby. The property is absolutely spotless and beautifully presented. Plenty of space to relax in too. Harbour Rise is a beautifully furnished home from home in an ideal location, just a few minutes walk away from the train station and main town.
