A characterful two-storey apartment located on the West Cliff within 500 metres of the seafront. Featuring a bright and airy lounge/kitchen/diner, two bedrooms and a small patio garden, this reverse-level apartment is ideal for small families or groups keen to discover the historic North Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors National Park.

Set across from St Hilda’s Church and surrounded by stunning Victorian properties, the apartment offers a bounty of comfortable soft furnishings across large rooms with high ceilings draped in natural light. Entering the lower ground floor hallway via the patio area, discover the welcoming arms of the en-suite double bedroom and twin bedroom. Both are tastefully decorated and remain in step with the building’s past, with the bonus of a small bathroom nearby. A large lounge/kitchen/diner dominates the first floor; it is a neatly arranged space with dual-aspect views of the surrounding area through large windows. The small patio area at the front of the apartment is an ideal place to read a morning paper or chat over a coffee as the sounds of the coastline ring in the air.

Whitby’s iconic seafront lies within 500 metres of the apartment, and it's only around 0.5 miles into its historic town centre, quayside and family-friendly shops, cafes and restaurants. Hop over the River Esk into the old town and climb 199 steps to reach the ruins of its clifftop abbey - the views are worth the journey alone. The streets and vast beach at Robin Hood’s Bay (7 miles) have been popular with generations of visitors to North Yorkshire, while the natural wonder of the North York Moors National Park (2.5 miles) is an absolute must for ardent walkers.

Serendipity is really well located on the west cliff. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well appointed. The two bathrooms is great. We absolutely loved staying there.

This was our second visit to this accommodation. The property provides a good all round standard for a pleasant stay in Whitby. On street parking was not a problem with the parking vouchers provided. We were extremely happy with the accommodation and particularly with its location. The apartment was nicely laid out and had most things we needed. The bed was really comfortable. We loved the location which was just off the centre of Whitby and we were able to walk to restaurants, cafes and shops. Serendipity is a lovely property in a good location, within a short walk to the centre of Whitby. Would easily sleep 5, the beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped to be able to prepare meals when necessary.

Location very good cottage needs a little work done shower not very good wallpaper coming off on ceiling but overall had a fabulous stay thank you
