Self-catering accommodation in Sancton

The small farming village of Sancton is close to the Yorkshire Wolds towns of Market Weighton and Beverley. Here you will find all the shops and amenities you need for a great self-catering holiday or short break. The historic city of York is a picturesque 22 mile drive away through the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Wolds. With its wealth of visitor attractions and excellent shopping, you'll find plenty to see and do here.

Within the village is a pub serving local beer that has a reputation for serviing excellent food made from locally sourced produce. Sancton lies on the route of two Roman roads and many important artefacts were discovered during an excavation of the Anglo-Saxon cemetary; these are displayed in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Today, the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail skirts the village giving direct access for exploring the Wolds on foot. A Sancton holiday cottage is the perfect base for a walking holiday where you can enjoy this peaceful Yorkshire landscape at its best, whether on a romantic couples getaway or a dog-friendly holiday in the countryside.
