Area Information

Ebberston
Ebberston is a lovely Yorkshire village located in the Vale of Pickering, surrounded by stunning North Yorkshire Moors and beautiful Dalby Forest on one side and the charming peaceful Yorkshire Wolds on the other. The village is situated between the pretty historic market town of Pickering and the bustling seaside town of Scarborough.

The beautiful St. Mary's Parish Church, situated on the outskirts of the village has many lovely stained glass windows and its origins date back to Norman times. Ebberston Hall dates back to 1718, it has been built in the style of a Palladian Villa in miniature. Also in the village there are many interesting traditional cottages, houses and a local pub called The Grapes Inn.

In the north part of the village is a nature reserve called Chafer Wood where the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust has been doing work to re-establish the native fauna and flora.

There's always something happening in the area, with festivals and fairs held throughout the year. For more information on Raw, Robin Hood's Bay and the surrounding area, as well as local events see our Yorkshire Coast Guide and the Festivals & Events Guide.
