Escape to the picture-postcard Esk Valley and book a stay in this traditional cottage, filled with home comforts. Set within the peaceful village of Ruswarp, this inviting retreat sleeps four guests within two bedrooms and boasts glorious countryside views. Underfloor heating and a crackling wood burner keep the cottage cosy in the chilly months, while an open patio outside is the perfect spot to catch some sun in the warmer season.

Step through the lobby shared with the neighbouring property to find yourself in the welcoming lounge. A glowing wood burner, comfortable seating and French doors to the front garden set the scene for many wonderful evenings spent with the ones you love. Adjacent is the kitchen/dining room, brimming with character and featuring another set of French doors – filling the space with natural light. On the first floor, you will find two beautifully decorated bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, both with en-suite shower rooms. After a day out exploring the stunning Yorkshire countryside, come back and relax in the sun with a picnic at the patio table outside.

The cottage was absolutely beautiful! Set in a remote location it was very peaceful with lovely surroundings and scenery. Anni was the most hospitable, friendly and helpful person! Such a nice lady who made us laugh. The cottage was clean and comfortable, very spacious and nicely decorated. The sofas were comfy as were the beds and pillows. Not farRead more from Whitby beach and a ten minute walk to the pleasure boats where we had lovely days out. Pet friendly cottage which was ideal for us with two dogs. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who is searching for a relaxing break in Yorkshire 10/10. Hide

Property location ideal - very rural yet close to Whitby, moorland, railway, river other coastal sites, all of which suits Cleanliness unsurpassed. Comfort and quality - beds good and best pillows we have had in many hotels and cottages. Thumbs down for the lounge chairs - sorry. Dogs' facility ideal with enclosed lawns and temporary gates. We alwaRead moreys close our dogs in the kitchen at night, likewise here (the stair gate a nice touch). They behaved well. Most of the time the house was too warm and had the heating temp. set v. low. From past experience we always come well prepared but this time many items were supplied and therefore not needed. Hide
