Barmoor View is a delightful luxurious property situated in a beautiful and peaceful location near Scarborough, with fabulous views to the coast and Scarborough Castle. The high level of quality is evident throughout the house, from the very comfortable sofas in the lounge to the luxury beds and plentiful fitted wardrobes. The separate snug room provides a second TV room and the conservatory is a great space in which to unwind.

Outside, mature gardens surround the house so you will have plenty of space to relax and enjoy dinner and a drink whilst making the most of the stunning views. The large hot tub provides additional entertainment and relaxation, perfect after a day enjoying the Yorkshire countryside.

A leisurely stroll of less than a mile will bring you to the centre of Scalby village where you will find a choice of places to eat including a gastro-pub and a delightful village shop. The spa resort town of Scarborough is 3 miles away, yet the North Bay with sandy beach is only 2 miles. Here you will also find the new Alpamare Water Park, an aquatic sensation for all ages, and Scarborough Sea Life Centre. There is a regular bus service from Scalby Village to Scarborough town centre. For those who like to get active, tennis courts, rugby club gym and squash courts are all just a mile away. Walkers and cyclists have a superb choice of scenery to experience, with the cinder track (linking Scarborough to Whitby) passing through Scalby and the boundary of the North York Moors National Park just half a mile away. The Cleveland Way National Trail is a mile from the property and the paths north to Whitby and south to Filey offer fantastic views of the coast.

The holiday home was very spacious with lots of outside space and an amazing hot tub. The feeling of being very private but only a few minutes walk into Scalby and a short drive to the beaches and town centre of Scarborough make this a perfect location for a relaxing holiday.

Area Information

Situated on the outskirts of the popular resort of Scarborough, pretty Scalby village makes a tranquil spot to tour the sights of the Yorkshire coastline. With a quaint beck running through the village, it's lovely to explore the village on foot and the two popular local pubs, local store, church and local restaurants are located at the centre of the village or within easy walking distance. There are also tennis courts, a bowling green and playing fields to be found here, ideal for cricket or football on an evening. A regular bus service links you to Scarborough while the 'cinder track' (where the old railway used to run) connects you to the popular town of Whitby further up the coast which can be enjoyed on foot or by bike with some breathtaking coastal views along the way.
