Sitting in the heart of Whitby, this charming cottage is just the place for a large gathering of family and friends especially with each room boasting it's own bathroom. Invite eight of your favourite humans and two happy hounds to travel to this splendid Victorian four-storey house with views of Whitby Marina and Abbey.

This beachside accommodation blends unique period features with a contemporary seaside style. After a long day of swimming in the sea, settle down in the impressive living room for a relaxing evening in front of the TV. The kitchen has everything you need to rustle up your favourite dinners to savour at the dining table, or you can eat at the bay window in the lounge, where you're sure to gaze out over the garden, marina and river. On balmy evenings, spill out into the private, walled garden with your closest friends and unwind with glasses of bubbles and delicious desserts. Curl up with a good book in the second lounge while the kids stream a film on Netflix or enjoy an early night in one of the four beautifully decorated bedrooms. A handy utility room and five bathrooms complete the property, offering guests the chance to skip the morning queue!

Beach days are all yours at this sought-after location on the coast of Yorkshire. Whitby, Sandsend and Upgang Beach are all within 3 miles of the cottage, and benefit from miles of golden sands, rockpools for hidden treasures and crystal blue seas for hours of swimming. Watch the world go by at some of Whitby's quaint coffee shops, visit the brewery at The Abbey or treat yourselves to a locally caught seafood supper at one of the many restaurants. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy the challenging treks of Yorkshire's Cleveland Trail, while history buffs will be in their element with the hilltop ruins of Whitby Abbey and Robin Hood's Bay (6 miles) steeped in Smuggling history.

Wonderful location, we didn't use the car all week! Loved seeing the steam engine every day with a great view over the river and town, all the way to the Abbey from the first floor lounge window. Plenty of shared spaces to hang out together or get some peace and quiet. Great having so many bathrooms!

Thank you for providing us with the perfect home for welcoming in 2018. The 'local' advice proved useful, the 'welcome pack' was tasty and our short break away here has been very enjoyable. All the best for the new year!
