Harbour Rise is a delightful two bedroomed modern apartment, situated close to Whitby town centre and all the amenities. Offering quality furnishings and fabrics throughout and presented to a very high standard, with great attention to detail including some original artwork, Harbour Rise is an ideal choice for a family holiday by the sea. It has a spacious enclosed patio with outside seating, perfect to enjoy al fresco dining on a sunny day or a glass of wine on a warm evening. The apartment provides private secure off street parking. Whitby is a popular seaside resort with a long sandy beach and bustling harbour area. The town is steeped in history with many popular tourist attractions, such as Whitby Abbey, the 199 Steps, St Mary’s Parish Church, the Swing Bridge, the North York Moors Steam Railway and The Dracula Experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Harbour Rise. The apartment is very clean, nicely decorated and very well equipped. The location is excellent for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. Jenny was very helpful and we really appreciated the lovely welcome pack. We would not hesitate to book again.

The Whitby wow factor - this was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in during our annual Whitby holiday. A lot of thought, care and attention to detail had been considered to ensure that we had the best possible holiday experience and were able to relax and enjoy our Yorkshire break. Absolutely beautiful apartment! Well equipped and in a brilliant location. The owner of the property made us feel very welcome. The whole holiday experience, from booking to vacating the property has been straightforward and easy. We did have a minor issue on booking our holiday due to a promotion code not working but the team were easy to contact, responded quickly and resolved the issue straight away. Directions and details regarding entry to the property were very clear and convenient. Contact with the property owner was great, Jenny was very attentive and answered all queries. Jenny made us feel very welcome by leaving us some local treats and a lovely card.

The apartment was excellent. It was very well equipped, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Jenny contacted me by text on the day of our arrival to let me know that the apartment was ready. She had thoughtfully provided basic supplies of tea, coffee, milk,cake etc along with a bottle of wine, together with a welcome note which provided us with contact details in case of problems. My grandson particularly appreciated the Easter egg! The property is very well placed, being only a 5 minute walk into town with good access to walks, beach and shops. The designated parking was a particular bonus for us, especially as it was Goth weekend and Whitby was busier than usual. We would love to stay in Jenny's apartment again in the near future. Area Information

Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
