Located in the popular historic seaside resort of Whitby and offering stylish accommodation, this beautiful apartment is a great choice for a holiday by the sea. Whitby Delight has been furnished with loving care and great attention to detail and the furnishings and fabrics are of high quality, making this lovely apartment a pleasant and inviting place to relax and enjoy after exploring all of Whitby’s attractions.

The apartment is situated in an elegant property with a charming shared lobby, a lift and private secure gated parking. Whitby Delight is located on the third floor and boasts lovely panoramic views to both front and rear, towards the Abbey, with a glimpse of the see on one side as well as some great views towards the town and the nearby North York Moors on the other.

Entering the apartment, you will come to a spacious hallway, there is a stylish lounge diner with open views, a charming modern electric fire and a large comfortable dining table, to enjoy a lovely meal together after a day at the seaside. The apartment also offers WiFi and a sound system with hifi in the lounge with Bluetooth, a great way to select your favourite tunes while relaxing. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, TV and en-suite shower room. A further two rooms, one with a double bed and one with full size bunk beds, with a modern family bathroom .The additional bedrooms benefit from a TV and the room with the bunk beds also offers a DVD player with the TV which is a great room for the younger ones. The elegant kitchen adds to the overall comfort and quality of your holiday experience.

Area Information

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. The river Esk flows through the town to the sea and cottages are perched on the hills on each side, with cobbled streets and historic yards providing a maze of places to explore. The town has a fantastic mix of modern shops and services, traditional stores and boutique shops. Whitby jet continues to be made into beautiful jewellery and sold in a number of shops.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants which serve local fish and seafood, as well as a wonderful choice of cafes and tearooms.

The ruins of Whitby Abbey stand dominantly on the clifftop and can be reached by climbing the 199 steps from the old town. The Abbey is said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town, harbour and coastline. Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. A statue of this great explorer stands proudly above the town, along with some huge whalebones, a sign of the town's maritime history. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch of the day.

There's always something happening throughout the town, with festivals and fairs are held throughout the year. These include Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta, and there are two popular Goth festivals each year.
