If you prefer a quiet time you won't find a more ideal picnic spot than beautiful Bolton Abbey. Travelling just 20 minutes down the dale you'll come to the market town of Skipton with regular events held at the mediaeval castle, plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to choose from, supermarkets, swimming pool, cinema and of course the open-air market which takes place four days a week.
