Located on the edge of the pretty hamlet of Appersett sits Hill View, just outside the popular market town of Hawes. A perfect retreat for those in need of a slice of the good life. Here you can hear the plaintive cry of the curlew hens contentedly clucking as they range along the nearby Wooddale Beck and in the spring, the sound of new-born lambs. You can look across to the river and it is quite possible to see a flash of a Kingfisher looking for his lunch. The property features original artwork by award winning British illustrator Catherine Rayner and has quality furnishings by Laura Ashley. A cosy snug complete with a wood burning stove awaits you after a busy day exploring the Yorkshire Dales. There is also a spacious lounge with comfy chairs and a large 4K Smart TV ideal for watching a family favourite film. If cooking is more your style then you will love the well-equipped spacious kitchen with an array of cookery books and seating for ten with its huge table and corner Monks bench.
The property boasts from having three large bedrooms, two of which are set out as twins whilst the master benefits from having a King-size bed. An additional two guest could be accommodated by the double sofa bed in the living room.
Outside, to the front, is an enclosed south-facing walled garden with a modern barbecue and garden furniture, ideal for dining alfresco in the summer months. Behind the cottage is another small garden/sitting area with magnificent views over the Dales. This property is a great destination for families or groups of friends looking to holiday together, in the Yorkshire Dales national park. The scenery is just stunning and in this comfortable holiday cottage you will find a home from home.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Very nice and cosy. The house is very clean and in a good, quiet location but also a small walk away for a lovely village pub. Thank you. Great short break, good location for short walks and plenty to do within a short drive. In short a great stay!
Fantastic property - we all loved it. Super cosy, loads of space and really well equipped.
Lovely stay. First time at Hill View and we were very impressed with the decor, amenities, comfy beds and spacious rooms. Great location, loved the scenic walk into Hawes. Happy to be so close to the Wensleydale Creamery.
We have had a wonderful week here. The house is warm, welcoming and comfortable. Lovely walks from the house.
This is our second stay at Hill View, we love it here. We feel we have found our little gem in North Yorkshire.
The name 'Hawes' literally means "a pass between mountains"and the town's beautiful setting, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, means you're never far from a breath-taking view. From Hawes, one can access many of the Dale's most popular visitor attractions. Buttertubs, Fleet Moss and Hardraw, to name just three! In Hawes itself, the town's market is held every Tuesday. Just enjoy Hawes and the surrounding area.
