Located in a quiet Yorkshire village, this mesmerising stone cottage offers a peaceful getaway for a solo traveller or couple. You’ll have wonderful walks through unspoilt landscapes leading right from your front door, and the Yorkshire Dales National Park just 5 miles away. This traditional cottage has a lovely walled garden featuring a brook at the end — ideal for making the most of the fresh air. You’re welcome to bring one dog, too, so there’s no need to leave your beloved pet at home.

Ascend one step to the homely open-plan living area, which comprises a kitchen, dining table and lounge plus a wood burner for those chilly nights. After busy days in the hills, pop on the Smart TV and nestle into the sofa for some chill-out time. The wonderful garden has a lawn for the dog to play on plus plenty of seated areas for kicking back with a coffee or boozy drink. You’ll also have a delightful summerhouse, offering an alternative spot for tucking into meals as you absorb your tranquil surroundings.

Description said there was a tea room and a pub yards away from the cottage. These had both closed down. Felt that this should have been updated in your description. We also had to access the property by going through two other peoples gardens. We booked this for the enclosed garden for our dog but we had to go into the other garden before we couldRead more access our garden Hide

The cottage was as we expected from the description on the website. We found Leyburn to be a very good centre from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales, to buy provisions and has plenty of places to eat out.
