It is a superb holiday home, full of character and very tastefully furnished. There is a lounge and a separate cosy living/dining room with the original cast iron Yorkshire range and open fire. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and a separate utility room provides plenty of storage for boots and coats. Upstairs the double bedroom retains the original cast iron fireplace. The bathroom is of an excellent quality with a curved bath and separate shower with seat. To the front of the cottage is a sun-trap patio with garden bench, and at the back is an enclosed garden with herb sink, garden furniture and barbecue. Rowan Cottage is very well suited for walkers and cyclists, providing additional facilities for visitors who enjoy these activities, and has been awarded both the Welcome Walkers and the Welcome Cyclists Awards.
