We stayed here over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. The cottage is lovely and very well appointed. Chris and Tracy the owners made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. It was an ideal base visit the Yorkshire Dales and is an easily accessed from the A1. As frequent visitors to the Dales, we feel we have found a little gem of a cottage in this one!! We will return soon.....

Superb Cottage, Lovely Decor and spotlessly clean. Excellent enclosed garden, perfect for a dog. Thank you for the welcome pack. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return very soon. (September 2018)
White Rose Cottage is absolutely the best holiday rental we've ever had the good fortune to discover! Tracy & Chris are the most excellent of hosts, always available, but perfectly discreet, giving you all the space and privacy you need. Such a lovely couple! The cottage itself is so beautifully designed and decorated, but comfortable and homey, with every appointment you can possible need. They even provided us with a fan in October to accommodate my preference for sleeping with white noise at night. I would recommend this property without a moment's hesitation. We absolutely loved every moment of our stay and plan to go back as soon as possible!
At the heart of Wensleydale lies the gateway town of Leyburn, "A Town for all Seasons". With spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, unusual local shops and cafes, traditional pubs and a weekly market, it's an ideal base for walking, sightseeing, or just watching the world go by. There's lots to see and do in the town, whether it's the wonderfully quirky Forbidden Corner, the annual food and drink festival celebrating the best of local produce, the stunning Harmby waterfall or taking a trip on the Wensleydale Railway- Leyburn provides the perfect base for a Yorkshire Dales break.
