Description

Converted from an old coach shed on a working beef and sheep farm, this superb cottage is set in a very quiet and peaceful location at the end of a private farm track. The conversion has been carried out with great care and the original roof timbers and wood lintels have been retained. Very comfortably furnished this cosy cottage has a magnificent outlook over the surrounding open farmland. Although single storey there are some internal steps. Outside the cottage has a pretty patio with a hot tub (included in the price) and seating taking advantage of the stunning views. This is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists, with very picturesque countryside directly accessible from the property where cycle storage is provided. High Dalton Hall Cottage benefits from a multifuel stove, set into a stone surround hearth, comfortable leather sofa and armchairs, two sets of French windows in the lounge dining area, stone flagged floors and beamed ceilings.

Newsham is just 6 miles from the attractive market towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle making this an ideal base from touring the many local places of interest. Local attractions include the stunning Bowes Museum and Richmond Castle.
