Yorkshire Dales Cottages

There’s nowhere quite like the Yorkshire Dales, from the rolling hills and sweeping dales, the hidden caves and gorges to the tumbling waterfalls and rivers, this area of Yorkshire is surely home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. The Yorkshire Dales is a fantastic place to explore and to get in touch with nature. Whether it’s the peace and quiet of the countryside...or the hustle and bustle of the market towns, you’ll find your perfect self-catering holiday here.

Each dale has its own character, from the beautiful meadows and moorland of Swaledale in the north, Wensleydale- world-famous for its delicious cheese and association to Richard III, Wharfedale with its miles of drystone walls and Great Scar limestone to stunning Nidderdale and its amazing rock formations such as Brimham Rocks and How Stean Gorge- whichever area of the Dales you which to visit you won’t be far from a breathtaking view.

From walking to cycling, horse riding to gorge walking or pot holing to abseiling- there’s an abundance of exhilarating outdoor activities to try in the Yorkshire Dales- perfect for blowing out the cobwebs! A break in the Yorkshire Dales can also be indulgent, why not potter around the quaint market towns for an excellent mix of independent shops and high street names (Skipton and Pateley Bridge are especially good for retail therapy!). Lovers of real ales will be thrilled to visit the Yorkshire Dales’ award winning breweries such as Theakstons, Black Sheep and The Copper Dragon (be sure to sample a few while you’re there!), or why not pay a visit to Hawes to see the home of Wensleydale cheese or try some of the delicious Yorkshire chorizo in Skipton.

Our cottages in the Yorkshire Dales cover the key areas of the National Park and we have many in the Yorkshire Dales market towns including Richmond, Hawes, Masham, Leyburn, Skipton, Pateley Bridge, Grassington and Settle. If it’s a quieter self-catering break you’re after, we also have many secluded bolt holes located in stunning countryside- perfect for getting away from it all and immersing yourself in the great outdoors.
