March - April Events
Things really “spring” (forgive the pun) into action at this time of year. The festival season gets going and many of the major attractions hold Easter events to keep everyone entertained. See a selection of these events below…

Wensleydale Tournament of Song, Leyburn - 16th March to 27th March 2020
This is a local festival celebrating speech and music. With recitals being judged by an adjudicator, it is an opportunity to take to the stage in front of an audience. Location: Methodist Church School Rooms, Leyburn and Tennants Auction House.

Ryedale Festival Spring Weekend - 27th - 29th March 2020
A weekend of great music in beautiful places! Every year the Ryedale Festival welcomes outstanding performers from all over the world to perform in the many historic and beautiful venues of Ryedale in North Yorkshire. The Spring Weekend of performances features some of Europe's most exciting young musicians.

Spring Food, Home & Garden Show, Ripon Cathedral - 4th April 2020
A springtime day out for all the family in beautiful Ripon Cathedral, with over 60 traders from across Yorkshire selling delicious food and drink, plus lots of activities going on throughout the day.

The Great Studfold Easter Egg and Fairy Hunt - 4th April to 19th April 2020
The Great Studfold Easter egg hunt returns for 2020, bring the whole family along and hunt for the brightly coloured eggs, pick up a 'Springtime Adventure' clue sheet which will help you find the Studfold Fairies and their friends, enjoy easter crafts such as making badges. Bring a picnic!

Spring Flower Show, Harrogate - 23rd to 26th April 2020
Being one of the UK's biggest horticultural shows, visit the Spring Flower Show in Harrogate to enjoy the vast array of colours on display. Location: Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG2 8NZ.

Whitby Goth Weekend - 24th to 26th April 2020
This infamous event takes place in Whitby twice per year. For those who enjoy the alternative music scene and flamboyant Gothic costumes, be sure to attend this festival. Whether it's to take part or just enjoy the quirky atmosphere which takes hold of the town throughout the week, it is always a success. With accommodation always booking well in advance you will not want to miss out!
